Cooking Up a Healthy Community II

Join us once again to discuss this idea of a healthy community! Last month, we heard from Priscilla Weddle of On Earth Peace and Office of Peacebuilding and Public Policy! This time we will be hearing from Helen Green of Penn State Extension! We will be focusing on the topic of health and community. Isabel from Tri-County Community Action will also be there with us to discuss the Allison Hill Farmers Market coming soon!

MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER NOW!

Reminder that we are still in the fundraising season and if you cannot make it but would like to donate to bcmPEACE, please consider that. Or if you are attending and would like to give, you can do so when you register.

Thank you to all who are coming alongside us on this journey!

Walk for bcmPEACE at the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the annual  Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is going virtual! Highmark still arranges the event so that charities can keep all fundraising proceeds and bcmPEACE actively participates in this event as it is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!

We will be engaging with donors, supporters, and community members more than ever this year! We will be hosting an online community discussion on creating a Healthy Community [register and find more information here], selling t-shirts [more information to come in the following weeks], and hosting a Walk the Walk event where we walk where we are to spread awareness for a Healthy Community [show us you are coming and find more information here]! You can still create teams and gather donations on behalf of bcmPEACE as well as register for the walk on the main page courtesy of Highmark, here.

We partner with Highmark in order to continue to effectively carry out our mission to “serve Allison Hill in becoming a safer, healthier community, empowered by God’s peace.” This mission is achieved by ministry partners like you when you financially support bcmPEACE, volunteer for bcmPEACE programs, spread the message of bcmPEACE through word-of-mouth, and empower bcmPEACE through your faithful prayers. Join us as we walk for a healthier community and raise funds to support the ministry to enhance South Allison Hill! Check out our programs page to see how the funds raised will impact our community!
